ACTI-CHIEN DOG RACING Your dog can take part in two kind of competitions :
The Greyhounds : Irish breeders leave early the puppies follow their mother everywhere and to build a good health. It's about 8 months that they make the selection. The training began about 1 year. In
competition he'll run from 275 meters to 480 meters according
to the trial he will take part. The whippet : From 1 month and a half to two months he plays with the lure in order that he takes an interest in it. Then increasing the distance according to the capability of the puppies we encourage him to follow the lure walking. About four or five months began the training. It is about seven or height months that the dog is able to make alone laps. In
competition, he covers a distance of 275 meters to 350 meters.
The participants are six. After drawing lots, they are settle in boxes
for departure. During the race the dogs has muzzles on.
For
the racing with totalizator system, the dogs have to obtain
a license and an authorization repeatable each year.
THE VISUALLY CHASE ON LURE In France the law of May 13th of 1844 forbid utilisation of greyhound to hunt. However the persons holder of hunting permit are authorized to constitute equipage and to hunt with the authority of venery society.
