Discussions concerning dog faeces in town and dangerous dogs are on the french Ministry of agriculture agenda. Actually, the problem is far from beeing resolved in France. If he stays a long time alone (around 6 hours), consider to leave him a place to make its business and to compensate the hours during which he bores, play with him when you come back home. The dog is an animal of pack and if and if he is alone, not accepted or rejected that increases its distress and the "stupid things" he may do.
