actiinfochiens@online.fr MIND THE SPIKELETS From spring and particularly in summer appear the spikelets.
It is necessary to keep notably a close eye on the dogs with pendant ears. The
spikelets, according to their localization cause various disorders:
otitis, subcutaneous fistula, rhinitis, keratoconjunctivitis or
cough.
In spite of a therapeutic established since five days...the cough doesn't under control...It is an intense, dry, with fit of coughing. During the respiratory auscultation, abnormals sounds (wheezing and crepitations) are detected on the right, at the base of heart... The thoracic radiologies (lateral view and ventral-dorsal) allow to make visible to the eyes a lesion of density of alveolar type (white definite appearance and "bronchogrammes"*) located at the level of the middle lobe of the right lung. Considering the season, the region and the commemoratives, the hypothesis of a vegetable foreign body is considered and the exploration of the bronchus by endoscopie is decided... An important inflammation is observed at the level of the trachea and a spikelet is discovered in the middle lobar bronchus right. In
general the location of this type of foreign body concernes , in
65% of the cases, the main lobar bronchus right (or beyond), and
in 25% of the cases, the main brochus left (or beyond). If it is
not taking out, the spikelet can goes on its way towards the parencyma
(Tissu constituted of differentiated cells and endowed of a
specific physiological function), the pleural space, the vertebral
column or the abdominale cavity. |
